Chas and Dave - the cheeky cockney duo
famous for their infectious boogie-woogie tunes, and the surprise
hit of 2005’s Glastonbury Festival - made their Octagon Theatre
debut, kick-starting the autumn season with a right old knees-up.
National treasures Chas Hodges (piano) and Dave Peacock (guitar) have been performing together since 1975, and their hits include Rabbit, Ain’t No Pleasin' You, The Sideboard Song, Margate and Gertcha.
Over 30 years since they first appeared on the scene, the duo are more popular (and have a wider fan base) than at almost any time in their career, having established a cult following by touring extensively to clubs, universities and festivals (including their festival-stealing performance at Glastonbury last year). Their latest 2-CD album, From Tottenham To Tennessee, was released in May this year.
