“A show-biz parody with gorgeously cheesy costumes and abundant hits”
DAILY MAIL

The Octagon Theatre and Nitro once again join forces after last year’s sell-out salsa hit The Wedding Dance, to slice up a 70’s groove in this hilarious ‘blaxploitation’ musical comedy, styled with big afros, funk and flares.

Two friends with bags of ambition – and heaps of incompetence – hatch a plan to produce a flashback musical: ‘bigger than Shaft, hipper than Hairspray, badder than Muhammad Ali...’

Sexy, sassy 70’s retro, Up Against the Wall features funk favourites such as Carwash, Superfly, Respect Yourself, One Nation Under a Groove and I Will Survive.

Complete with a live band on-stage, this badass musical comedy will have you laughing and shaking your booty.
