Octagon Theatre Bolton presents

Peter Pan

A new adaptation based on the book by J.M. Barrie

Join the Octagon Theatre on a magical adventure next year as we take you on a festive journey to Neverland with the classic story of Peter Pan.

The adventures of Peter Pan, Wendy, Tinkerbell and the villainous Captain Hook will be brought to you as never seen before - a marvellous new version of J.M. Barrie’s timeless story that has been loved by children and adults for more than one hundred years.

In this enchanting story of the boy who refuses to grow up, Peter Pan and the Lost Boys introduce Wendy Darling and her brothers to a magical world of adventure in Neverland - where children stay young forever and are free from adult rules. This fantastical land is home to mermaids, fairies and crocodiles, as well as swashbuckling pirates whose bloodthirsty swordplay will have you on the edge of your seat!

With original music performed live by a cast of talented actor-musicians, a cast of local young performers and just a sprinkling of fairy dust, the Octagon will take you on the festive adventure of a lifetime!

Captain Hook and his crew from Peter Pan escaped from the Octagon. They were seen causing a trouble as they made there way across to Bolton FM to hijack the radio station. Here is a short video of the Pirate Radio take over!

Suitable for ages 5 years and over.

The Octagon Theatre does not admit babes in arms to theatre productions unless specifically stated otherwise. It is always best to check at the time of booking if you are planning on bringing children so that our ticket office can advise you on whether the show would be suitable depending on their ages. Every individual attending Octagon events must have a ticket, regardless of age, so that the theatre is not in breach of fire and licensing regulations.

All children must have a ticket and we do advertise that the show is suitable for ages five and over as in our experience bringing younger children can be a waste of your money if they are bored or crying and parents do inevitably end up leaving the auditorium.

The Bolton News

4 STARS. The Octagon demonstrates how to treat a childrens’classic with respect but uncover new aspects so as to make it appealing to adults as well as the target audience."
What's On Stage

"The two young’uns I took to Peter Pan thought I should give the show 9 stars out of 5...some wonderful moments and lovely writing."
The Public Reviews

"Director Elizabeth Newman has repeated her success of last year’s Wizard of Oz... There is much in this retelling to make adults think.  However, the show’s greatest strength lies in its appeal to children."
Clitheroe Advertiser

"4 STARS. This delightfully friendly theatre had everything we needed...We thoroughly enjoyed this performance, and if you fancy something with a touch more art than a regular commercial panto – get yourself to The Bolton Octagon"
